PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy on fitness and wellness is has changed recently as I took the Crossfit Level I Certification.  Along with the Crossfit model, I do believe that to acheive maximum results, intensity must play a huge role in your training regimen.  I also feel that fitness must become a lifestyle to achieve results.  As you may have seen from many fad diets and workouts, if you stop, so do the results.   Orange Man Ball Work Out

Your level of fitness and potential to achieve results is based on a few factors:

                Eating Habits

                Stress Level

                Training Consistency

                and Intensity

                Will Power and Motivation

We all know that life is busy and there are always excuses not to workout but those excuses only cost you in the long run.  If you make the commitment now, it will only get easier.

How do you train?

Ideal – 4 to 5 days a week with high intensity by combining weight training with “cardio” type activities.

Acceptable – 3 days a week with high intensity by combining weight training with “cardio” type activities.

Could be better – 1 or 2 days a week with moderate intensity.

Come on now! – Haven’t started yet or exercising with no intensity.

If you haven’t even started yet, then at least begin with a basic regimen of pull ups, push ups, squats and sit ups.  If you can perform at least 10 of each in a row with proper form, then it is time to push your work out to the next level.
